Set in a stunning and tranquil rural location, the Gites du Manoir are part of a historic farm in the commune of Runan. The main farmhouse dates back to the 17th century, and is built of the famous Pink Granite associated with this area of the Cotes D’Armor. Brittany. The property is set in three acres of parkland and is built around a large courtyard.
The gites are a kilometre from Runan, which is a small village, with 256 inhabitants (since the last census!). The Church of our Lady of Mercy built from 14 th -16 th century situated in the heart of the village is one of the most beautiful churches in Brittany. It is a famous tourist attraction (and worth a visit!). There are no amenities in Runan so a car is essential.
The beautiful town of Pontrieux, a ‘Ville Fleurie’, and one of 22 ‘Charming Towns of Brittany’ is located approximately 4 kilometres from Gites du Manoir, has restaurants, bars, bakers, supermarkets, banks and many artisan shops selling local pottery and art.

'The Gite is very well designed with a great open plan area on the ground floor and 2 very well appointed bedrooms upstairs.
The beds are extremely comfortable and the bed linen is super. The position is central for the North Brittany coast and the local town is worth a visit just for the flower displays.
 
Stuart and Anne were extremely friendly and helpful and the details they supply in the gite enabled us to plan each day's activity very easily.
